I must have missed it. It's probably on FB, when ever I hit those links it requires me to sign in and I get lazy and just don't . I'll sign in and look again Thanks

I'm still looking for a fully caged track car and I tried to contact them months ago about the G7's they had, no response either phone or website or email. I gave up on them.

Was on my home from the post office, the scenic route naturally when this guy with tires taller than the Birkin ran me down The conversation brief as follows: Him: Hey Sir, What is that thing? Me: A Lotus Seven...........didn't think I needed to explain the whole replica caterham Birkin thing Him: Pretty f*ckin cool.............but we already know that Me: Yep Made my day what is that thing.mp4 what is that thing.mp4 what is that thing.mp4 what is that thing.mp4 what is that thing.mp4 what is that thing.mp4 what is that thing.mp4

It was the first time I had ever tried to log anything so I don't know. My ecu is an older model and I'm using the correct software version for my model, they haven't and probably wont update the software so there could be a new version of Windows issue I'm experiencing. I joined an Emerald group on fb and they hadn't experienced it. I haven't contacted Emerald about the Windows error, I did about another issue and they were helpful but in a very general way.
-
That's really strange, my Emerald software wont let me data log either, I get a Windows error "Floating Point Division by zero" the program opens and runs but wont log. I can get real time data as well, I'm fairly computer savvy as well but it frustrated me to no end I couldn't find anything from Windows only thing I didn't check was the UK 7's Blat site they have a lot of good information. My try https://usa7s.net/ips/topic/14658-ecu-mapping-and-engine-tuning/ I spoke to Tom as well about my Emerald and he suggested changing over to Delta or something more "popular" with the tuner class
-
I have a similar issue with my Birkin, I'm running an Emerald ecu and the tuners in my area are the same bless their hearts. As far as ecu choice Emerald is very popular in the UK as I'm sure Delta is. The best piece of advice I got when I asked the same question as you was learn the software and hardware which I did. I learned the basics of adjusting a fuel table and got my car out of it's lean condition and is 100% drivable albeit running rich but I am enjoying my car, I'm just a bit afraid to track it. You can get an ecu that your local tuners will deal with and even a harness, I considered that. Have you checked with Tom Carlin, that's the ecu he installs. Sorry wish I could be of more help.

One Trick Ponies have a limited market, that car will never be able to be made street legal economically and that looses you maybe 50% or more of your market. It's a very nice car and a good price but the only thing that looses value faster than a car is a race car unless of course it has name recognition and history other than that it just a high maintenance used car that's a heck of a lot of fun to drive. -
Yeah you did pretty good close enough to work with. I've been dealing with this directly for about 3 weeks off and on. The o2 sensor broke early this year and I tried once to look at the tune software attached to the ecu and decided I didn't know enough I went looking for a professional there isn't one in my area willing to work on my configuration. I was able to configure the new o2 sensor, both were LSU 4.9, and reconfigure the ecu and they are talking and I get live readings. So I still don't know the "tuners lingo", and the key words of what you posted being if you know what you're doing. I know it sounds like whining but logistically everytime I make a change I have to drive a mile of dirt road to get to a paved road to pull the engine though the gears to even try to do some software logging which is now having a problem with Windows and errors out. Your assumption in point 1 is correct I believe, someone advanced the cams that hopefully knew what they were doing.

Thanks, I'll go through it again. To be honest I'm getting tired of flailing around in the dark

took the car and laptop out to try to data log, got an error from emerald Floating Point Division by zero I closed the error window set up logging but it didn't log anything over a 10 mile trip, what did I do wrong.

WOW, Been working on the car most of the morning, after the frost anyway, trying to reconcile everything I've learned and I would have never looked at it and wouldn't have known what I was looking at if you hadn't posted about setting the coolant temp. The "base tune" on my car the one with the cams advanced and all that is set up for open loop because the coolant temp set at 120 like you said, does it come with a default temp. It would have never registered with me Im a farenheight guy and I don't know the trick. So I calibrated the 02 sensor loaded the old "base tune" I've been running for two years I drove it up my dirt road low speed and the car is back to normal I believe so road test tomorrow, too cold today. Is this common to have the tune "forced",don't know how else to describe, on the engine and not let it adjust to conditions?

I'm running a Ford Racing head do you have a recommendation for spark plugs. There are several plugs for the Zetec but most vendors sell according to the vin number that I don't have. I understand it has something to do with reach of the plug into the cylinder but have never been able to find anything definitive for the Ford Racing head. I'm currently running Motorcraft Double Platinums, that's what it came to me with. Thanks again

Ok but what is STFT1. As far as December I just need to know when your here, I can adjust I don't have a schedule

No, that's how I get in trouble, I thought we were talking about the same thing. I see +- change for the fields in AFR corrections table. Seems like a global trigger would be more idiot proof. So simply that would stop any corrections
