  1. My only problem with the Mitsu ad is that they draw on their rally tradition, but are not competing in the WRC. Meanwhile BMW have WTCC, BTCC and F1 programs. But like others, these ads makes we want an E30 M3 or an Evo 4... back when they were still raw machines, not computers on wheels. Now if only all car ads could be 3mins long...

    Worn out

I had mine removed when I was 5 to solve an ear drainage issue that would cause constant ear infections. It hurt for a day or two after the op, but I had the Road & Track World's Fastest Cars special issue waiting for me in my room (Thanks Dad), so hospital time passed quickly. And did I mention ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Children are much more resilient than you think... wishing all of you a speedy recovery!
  3. Looks like a nice place to stay... and the extra $60/person for dinner doesn't seem too expensive, considering how expensive it normally is in the UK.
  4. Trying to keep it in the Northeast... New Hampshire does have 'Live Free of Die' on their plates.
  5. I believe that the whole process is easier once the car has been registered elsewhere in North America, however I'm not sure of lighting and other regulations in NJ.
  6. Bonjour! I'm a 24 year old Mech Eng Tech student born, raised and still living in Montreal. The plan is to finish my tech program in '09 and follow it up with the BEng that I started in 2002, but was disillusioned by research-focused profs (and way too much time spent in the FSAE lab). The mechanical bug has been in me since birth, with both my grandfather and great uncle being machinists. Another relative was as well, but ended up starting his own company designing and manufacturing food dispensing equipment (still a family run business in Hackettstown, NJ). I'm also a VW/Audi/Porsche addict, but I like to keep things simple; modifications must have a functional purpose. I had been trying to choose between building a VW Golf rally car or track car until I got a ride in a Lotus Elise... done deal. Couldn't afford an Elise, so I decided with the manufacturing capabilities I have at school, a Seven was the way to go. However, I still had reservations about the size of a Seven until I met up with Seth at BAM (SR27.Seth). Hopefully my budget will be helped by a paid summer internship at Pratt&Whitney or doing CAD work at a family friend's engineering firm.
  7. New member/builder... Since I live only a few minutes away from BAM, Seth (SR27.Seth) was kind enough to let me see if a Seven was possible for my size... I'm 6'5" 200lbs, 35" inseam, size 13 shoe. I fit quite well, minus maybe the pedals needing slight tweaks to make it work. However, I didn't bother check the rear hoop height so that may be a concern eventually.
