  1. I'll be there too.
  2. I look forward to seeing you there. Can I get a ride in the Seven?
  3. Due to unforseen circumstances we've had to move the tech session back one week to the first of November.
  4. Updated the date to the 25th.
  5. Need to change the oil in your Lotus? Install a new air filter? Replace your brake pads? Once again its time for a LLSE Tech Session. Our own Dr. John has volunteered his garage with lift for our use. Just remember to bring your own parts and tools and we'll all lend our know-how and experience. Dr. John will again have the grill fired up and will be roasting burgers and hot dogs. Please bring along a side dish to share with everyone else. WHAT: LLSE Tech Session WHEN: Sunday, November 1st at noon WHERE: Dr. John's - 6775 Molly View Point, Cumming GA 30041
  6. What I don't get about the list is the placement of the Lotus 2-Eleven. Less than a year ago EVO did a comparo article on the Caterham vs 2-Eleven vs KTM X-Bow and chose the 2-Eleven as the winner. Why did they place it so high on the list when it is clearly a purists, driver's car?
  7. Only 20 more days to go! Have you booked your room yet?
  8. I've finalized the schedule and routes in the intial post above. Can I get an idea of who is planning on attending?
  9. The initial post has been updated with the latest information. Check it out!
  10. I'm working on the routing and schedule as we speak...
  11. No, its not a race but a multi-day mountain drive. And its not just about enjoying the local scenery but also good food and fun times with good company. I've choosen to do this in the middle of the week, as traffic and police are a lot lighter then. We'll use Fontana Village, NC (Fontana Village Resort)as our base camp because it's in the middle of the best mountain roads in the southeast, has free WiFi, a general store, a bar, a pool, a nice restaurant, a burger joint, a gas station and is pet friendly. Its surrounded by lakes, hiking trails and tons of outdoor activites for spouses or children who don't enjoy the mountain drive experience. Each participant is responsible for booking their own room at Fontana. I recommend a room in the Lodge but cabins are also available. I've already got my room booked. What are you waiting for??? Here's the schedule: Monday, August 24 - Check in at Fontana Village with a participants orientation meeting at the lodge bar that evening at 7 PM. Tuesday, August 25 - Pisgah or Bust! We'll drive east from Fontana Village attacking the Hellbender (Hwy 28) then continue east to Cherokee, NC where we'll pick up the Blue Ridge Parkway and follow it to the Mount Pisgah Inn for lunch. Excellent food and a breathtaking view from the dining room. After lunch we turn around and take the Blue Ridge Parkway back west to Cherokee, but here we head north through the Smoky Moutain National Park. Continuing west we'll take the Foothills Parkway south into Tennesse, then take The Dragon back to Fontana Village for dinner in the lodge. All of this followed by the day's wind down around the pool. Wednesday, August 26 - The Devil Went Down to Georgia: this will be an intense day of twisties. From Fontana we'll head south toward Robbinsville via Hwy 28, taking Wayah Road across the Nantahala National Forest where we'll head south stopping for lunch at the Waffle House in Blairsville, GA. No trip is complete without a stop at the Waffle House. From here we dive south into Northern Georgia and tackle the most exciting roads Georgia has to offer including 180, Blood Mountain and the Richard Russell Parkway. We'll head for home passing through Franklin, NC and arriving back at Fontana Village via the Hellbender! Again we'll have the post-drive wind down around the pool. Thursday, August 27 - Journey to the Devil's Triangle / The Carrera Cherohala. Theme Day! Participants who take today's drive dressed in a costume of some sort will be eligible for a prize of great value! The more creative and funny the better. We'll start the day with a group photo at the tallest damn on the East Coast, followed by a run on The Dragon. From there we head northwest to the Devil's Triangle in Tennessee. From there we head south to Tellico Plains where we pick up the Cherohala Skyway back to Robbinsville. Upon returning to Fontana Village we'll have contest night around the pool where prizes of incredible value will be awarded to participants. Friday, August 28 - Check out and embark for home sunburnt and smiling with a camera full of memories. Mark your calendars now and go ahead and ask the boss for those days off. Don't forget your sunscreen and camera. Stay tuned here for coming updates.
  12. It was a small red triangle flag on a really long pole.
  13. I saw a Seven travelling south on Cobb Parkway, just inside the Perimeter (by the Barnes & Noble) last night around 9 PM. They had a tall flag mounted to the rear of the car. Who was it?
  14. Thanks to everybody for coming. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. Special thanks to the gentleman who let me drive his French Blue Seven (sorry I don't recall your name but I met a million people this weekend). After just a short drive around Barber I'm hooked. I want a Seven before I die. Incredible experience.
  15. Less than a week to go! I look forward to meeting everyone and driving all of your Sevens. =-)
  16. The count is around 21.
  17. Atlanta British Motorcar Day Saturday, May 16th - 9 AM until 3 PM Berry College, Rome GA Don't miss this annual event. Hundreds of British cars of all makes. Pack a picnic, bring a cooler, a chair, a camera, your family, your dog. Make a day of it.
  18. WHAT: North Georgia Mountain Drive, route to be determined, may head up to the Dragon WHEN: Saturday, April 25th, leaving at 9 AM WHERE: We'll be leaving from the Starbucks located east of exit 13 off of GA400. WHO: you! Sorry for the late notice!
  19. Yes please come by. We never get enough Sevens at our events.
  20. With the warm weather finally here we all want to get our cars in perfect running order and out on the roads. I know that I need to do an oil change and replace my front brake pads. LLSE member Dr. John Hollier has once again offered up his garage (with lift) so that we can do whatever service we need to. Bring your own parts and tools and we'll lend a little sweat and know-how. Dr. John will also have a grill set up so bring along some burgers or hotdogs, a side dish and a cooler and we'll make an afternoon of it. Everyone is welcome. WHEN: Sunday, May 17th - 1 PM until WHERE: Dr. John's house 6775 Molly View Point, Cumming, GA 30041
  21. Wow, thanks for all the offers. I've never driven a RHD car before. Should be interesting.
  22. I'm a sports car nut. I love Lotuses. I'm on my third one. I've always admired the Seven and have never been in one. Would someone at LOG 29 be interested in doing a little switch, perhaps on one of the mountain drives? I drive your Seven for 15 minutes and you drive my Exige S265. What do you say?
  23. Love the color!
  24. I look forward to meeting all of you at LOG this year. If you have any questions about the event at all feel free to contact John or myself (at info@log29.com).
