Its my understanding that the piping on the fenders and the interior panels were all cream white, regardless of the car color. currently unavailable but keep checking back on this site,,,http://www.lotus7.com/LOTUS_7_parts.html I wasnt sure using it on my original black car, but looks detailed!

This is my go to source for anything auto glass related , https://www.crlaurence.com/products/brands/listing/C06AB_AU On many specialty cars, I have also used recessed rubber shims to center the glass in the channel, then run a bead of GE Black Silicone around the glass filling between the glass and channel, then let it dry and trim it flush with a razor blade, looks perfect. Not mine, Local to me Craigslist ad for a project car
azfast1 replied to azfast1's topic in Parts For Sale / Wanted
I did email the guy that posted it on Craigslist, he is selling it for a friend. It was taken apart many years ago and stored in an attic. He is no longer able to work on the car and will not sell parts, all or nothing at this point. I am waiting for another email with the chassis number or photo of the number plate. Hopefully we can find out some history. -
Has anyone tried the old school bias ply Firestone 520-13 tires that Coker sells? They look almost identical to the original Dunlop Goldseal that were used on my 1963 Super Seven. I do not plan on racing, just cruising around and cars and coffee kind of things. Not cheap at $199 each.

I talked to Judy last week, great lady! She said I made her day when I told her it was going back to black as she didnt like it in yellow, I'm with her! The final decision in repainting it was after buyuing it sight unseen, the quality was race car quality at best, looks much better in photos! Rough around the edges, but thats just me being fussy! I have an original paint 72 Pantera that looks great in yellow though.

My curse is the pursuit of perfection and originality! I’ve had the honor of restoring some of the best cars in the world, mostly vintage race cars and Pebble Beach concours cars and would like to see it black again. I realize this is a very old car and has been raced and changed through out the years. It’s not a very high priced car and hope it will be a fun car to play with. Where else can you have that much fun for the price of a Toyota! Jim Downing is a very successful race car driver and owner if you google him, on top of being a very nice guy! Thanks for your input! PS, here is a current photo!
