Thanks, I'll transmit the message to my mechanic! Hopefully this is what it is, it (c)(sh)ouldn't be broken since it's a fully rebuilt transmission.

Just got the 7 back after a long story you don't want to know about. Transmission has been rebuilt but it's super hard to shift and the shifter is all the way to the left under the 1st gear. It moves freely to the right but if I move it slightly to the right it's going immediately back to the left. Finding 3rd or downshifting is almost impossible. Check the video and let me know what you think is wrong.

I lost 30 pounds when I bought mine, so it's ok

Thanks, I'll remove the one from the other Seven we have and hunt for something similar. Yeah I know about the Zetec weight, mine is the SVT variant so I guess it helps vs. the regular Zetec. Still, a lot of parts for this engine are not available any longer. And that's a shame.

There's nothing wrong with that one in the picture because it doesn't belong to my car and engine. My engine got rebuilt and came back without that stud. The guy who rebuilt my engine told me any stud will do, but so far, none did.

First off, don't buy a Seven with a Zetec! Parts are for most of it discontinued and it became a nightmare! Next time something happens to mine I swap another engine in it! I'm looking for a knock sensor stud (see attach), the original part number is w707046-s309. Google search gave no results, only stores saying it's in stock, while it's not. If anyone knows a replacement/substitute part and have a clue where to get it, I'd be super grateful!

Seven with an N, like nightmare... (looking for a wet sump/oil pan)

I borrowed my friend's 7 for car week. My engine is now rebuilt but stuck in NC because of the bad weather they have there. Hopefully it'll be up and running soon. Waiting on the transmission as well. -

Update : I had a friend in England calling them and they finally will send it to me. It took a lot of unnecessary time to figure out which one I needed, starter on the intake or on the exhaust side... just to realize it doesn't matter because the starter of our SVTs are higher and it makes no difference on the oil sump... Now waiting to get my engine back as well as my transmission. Just hope it'll be operational for car week next month! Thanks for all the answers! -

I'm pretty sure that's what he did! He probably drove it around the block and let it idling for a while, not even checking the oil pressure gauge showing 0... -

It has been repaired but I'm not sure it has been well repaired. I gave it to another specialist so he can check if the first job has been done well. But yes you can send me your guy's info, please. -

Well, not sure it's my mistake, business is business, if you can't help your client, hire someone for that matter. But yes, I'll try to call them or have someone in the UK calling for me. -
I used to be super happy with my Seven, a 2005 Zetec SVT that was driving really well... until the day when, at sunrise, I hit a chunk of asphalt on the road that lead to a hairline on the wet sump. Decided to send the car to a friend working at a "reputable" shop, who welded the crack and another mechanic put it back on the car, did something wrong (still don't know what), let the engine run with 0 oil pressure in it, and... seized it. So I brought it to my usual mechanic (which is something I should have done at the first place), pulled out the engine and transmission, and send it to Tom for a full rebuilt. NOW, I tried to reach out to Raceline to get a new oil sump, with many mail exchange, they don't do this sump any longer but they do one that will work, there's just an opening for the starter that can be left open or closed with a plate. They sent me an invoice with the wrong one (starter on exhaust side, mine is on the intake side), I tried to tell them it's not the right one, sent several e-mails, but no answer, crickets, nada. Is there an alternative to Raceline for a zetec SVT? Any other place I can find Raceline 'from the past'? Burton has one but again, starter on the wrong side. I could stick with the one that has been fixed but I'd rather go with a brand new one.
