  1. Hi Dez -- 12v into the terminals, and no choo-choo... dead quiet. Also, the tank was replaced by the previous owner.
  2. Hi MV8 -- the only parts I found were used ebay listings in UK, which is available but full of annoyance and risk. It is indeed a 2-wire solenoid, so I have the expectation that an easy solution already exists, and thus the question.
  3. I have a 2002 Superlight R, with a 2.0 Zetec. My code reader indicates a purge valve error. According to the part numbers stamped in the plastic parts, my purge valve and canister are from a Rover from the 80's. So now I'm wondering what other purge valves can I use? Anybody with a 2.0 Zetec would please check it out?
  4. Oh my… Mike, that’s a lot of knowledge! Thank you so much! Yes, this is a Zetec from 2002, and the original tank rusted and was replaced by the previous owner. When filling up, I have to go easy on the pump, or else it spills out. It seems the pump’s flow is bigger than the tank’s intake capacity. When that happens, hose #3 fills up and slowly drips down. So if I don’t need it… First, I’ll make sure the vents are all connected right, then plug it shut. Yet another winter project!
  5. Hello all, the car is a super seven, superlight R, 2002, and this is my tank's neck. #1 seems to be the tank's air return. #2 goes to the front of the car, so I'm hoping it's going into the charcoal canister. The problem is #3 -- what is this? Currently, this hose goes nowhere, just hangs under the car … plugged with a screw, and is obviously leaking. Where should it go to? thanks,
  6. This car? Yeah, that was me. This car cannot driven incognito... My brother is visiting from abroad, and this drive was the highlight of the trip so far. Marek, I had to create an account to answer your post. I think we met a few months ago on that outing in Concord, Stow, etc. -- there was a 13-B in the group, same color, so I think we met.
