  1. I've found that Woody and other folks at MSI Motorsports in Vacaville also have some great ideas with rollbars, and have fabricators with whom they are familiar, to do the work. I'm looking at possibilities for a cage for my SV so would like to hear anything you come up with as well. Good Luck!
  2. In the post above, there is a breakdown of costs of the $100 registration fee. Seems to me simple enough to allow a second participant in the same car to choose what additional features they want. My passenger will definitely want the Regalia (T-shirt and other souvenirs) option, and may want a book. I'm happy to pay the additional $60 for the food and stuff options, and think that would be an easy way to handle it. FWIW. Mark
  3. Wow! What is the probability of that??!! Chet, where are you in the US? MB
  4. Sure, why not.... In a former life, I was in "professional recreation" in Eugene Oregon, running the bicycle recreation program for City of Eugene. Tough job but somebody had to do it! http://www.usa7s.com/forum/smileys/wink5.gif That introduced me to therapists who introduced me to my current field (for the last 30 years or so). I am a clinical Prosthetist Orthotist (artificial limbs and braces), and still love it every day. I've got people falling all over themselves to see me, even though some of 'em don't have a leg to stand on! I got into the 7 bug while watching every episode of "The Prisoner"..several times.. as a kid. I also had a (missed!http://www.usa7s.com/forum/smileys/cuss.gif) opportunity to buy what I think was a series 2 in pieces for $1500 in 1971, with a Lotus twincam...also in pieces, in my last year of High School near Denver. But that yearning never went away, and I never stopped wanting to build and own one. It became obvious that its better to own one while I still had the relative youth to drive the stink out of it. I now have an '05 SV, working on building up my second engine, have a serious case of 'permagrin', and accept that its one of the single best decisions I've ever made! Mark mr2dux2006-08-17 19:18:29
  5. Hi James, sorry for the delay, I'm in the Dayton area, Centerville just south of Dayton. Mark
  6. Hi all I'm with John C. on this one, I think we should invite all comers. Certainly a group and forum of this nature is about cars, but mostly its about the community of people who are nuts enough and passionate enough to drive 'em. I think it is this community that is the essence of this sort of club, and anything that falls within the seven'esque sort of profile should qualify. Hmmm, maybe an improbability factor should be used to screen out cars that are just too common, so we could include any car that falls at least 2.736 standard deviations from the mean...... FWIW Mark/ Dayton, OH
  7. where in Ohio, James? Mark
  8. Thanks very much for the response. I would like to pursue this. Is it possible to put me in touch with Mike, to get the spec's of the trailer? I will also contact Aluma, but would like the spec's ahead of time if possible. Mark
