  1. Thanks, I see that now. Chasing down the proper mounts has been like the quest for the holy grail. The originals from my Birkin were sent with the buyer of the Kent engine, even though that engine wasn't going into a Birkin. Tom Carlin doesn't have the drawings for the Kent motor mounts so he can't make them.
  2. Did the buyer of your 1700 engine put it in a Birkin? If not do you think he might still have these mounts? These would probably be the mounts I need to put my 1700 engine in my Birkin.
  3. Hello Pethier, any luck finding those engine mounts? We had a little snow here today but the weather guessers are saying it'll be warming up pretty soon, I'll be getting back to the car very soon.
  4. It can wait, those pitchforks don't sound like fun!
  5. If you have them I'd like to take a chance on being able to use them as is or being able to modify to fit. If you can find them and want to sell them please let me know. Thanks!
  6. Do you still have those mounts? They look like what I need. If you have them I'd like to buy them.
  7. I just read their posts about the car, for the miles it's done it is very clean! Now if I can just get the Birkin motor mounts! The engine is coming along very well, it's getting all the right parts and machine shop work, meticulously built. Chris De Minco is building the engine.
  8. Any chance these are for sale? I'm having no luck finding mounts to fit the Kent engine I'm getting, these look close to what I need.
  9. Sold, I bought it. I'm having a Ford Kent crossflow 1700 built for it. It's going to be a very good car to drive on the twisty hilly two lane roads of New Hampshire.
  10. I had forgotten this episode, thanks Outbound! So with the 1700 Kent engine my Birkin will be the easier to drive Caterham 620 R. Unfortunately I won't be driving it until next spring.
  11. My 79 year old body will have to find a way to deal with a Birkin S3 next spring. It will have a Kent engine, which is being built now. I have 113,000 miles on my '16 MX-5 Sport, which will seem like a barge next to the 7. Spectators will get a laugh watching me attempt to get out of the 7, good thing it has the roll bar to help me out. The Miata is a great car for the New Hampshire backroads where I live, I expect the 7 will be even better. But I think I'll be keeping the MX-5, it's got snow tires. I checked through Throttlehouse vids, didn't find the Caterham video.
  12. I am aware of that. I'm going to hold off on buying those mounts from you, it's going to be a few months before I get the engine, I'll try to get the proper mounts in the meantime.
  13. Thank-you! I will try contacting him again. He didn't have Kent mounts in stock, recommended I build my own?
  14. Would you consider selling those Zetec mounts? Or would your Kent buyer sell those mounts?
  15. I tried texting to this, no reply. Thank-you.
