Nice! I have been looking for a 7 for a few months after wanting one for nearly 4 decades. I recently verified that I could squeeze into a Caterham SV with the right seats (I am 6'7" but not a widebody - 200 lbs, pant size 34x36). First time hearing of the SS3XS version of the Birkin and am intrigued to say the least. Wondering if you (or anyone else on the forum) have tried the SV and the SS3XS. Similar interior dimensions?
Love the modifications you made. Looks a little tight in the engine bay, good to have that extra cooling. Also, living in NH (where potholes and frost heaves are common) that sump upgrade would come in handy.
Speaking of living in NH, I would guess if this came from CA registered as a 1962 Lotus (I am also a 1962 model year) I might have a relatively easy time registering it here. Anybody have thoughts on that? Does it have a VIN? I understand cars purchased as kits may not be issued VINs from manufacturer (ala MK Sportscars).
I will be travelling west for work first few weeks of August. I could try to do a connector through LA to check the car for fit. Are you anywhere near the LA airport.
