I'm new to the Caterham world, so apologies in advance if I'm not using the proper terminology. I'm looking for some cycle wings (fenders) for my 1995 x-flow, imperial, De Dion, S3 (am I missing anything for proper ID??). The car came with clams and they are beautiful, but I would like to try out the wings. I'm rolling on 14-inch wheels (Thanks Bob C!!)

I'm poking around the "new to me" 1995 Caterham and it doesn't look like any of the base Bilsteins are height adjustable (via typical threaded collar, etc.). Given that, I guess I'll poke around the web for info on how to adjust ride height (once I figure out my wheel search - which is probably going to start w/ me just purchasing 205/45 R16 tires for the wagon wheels as the old tires are truly ancient). Any tips for the best choice for upgraded threaded collar coilovers?

Well.... I'm def not calling myself skilled!! But I'm not afraid to get in there. I got it up on jack stands tonight and found about 10 rivets in the floorplans that had gone missing!! Fortunately I had the right size to pop back in there. I really appreciate the community support here! A few "naked" pics attached.

It kinda went out of my budget too!!! But here I am. If I can keep it as a running project (instead of garage queen up on jack stands) then I'll be thrilled.

Thanks so much to all who have chimed in w/ your Hot Tips for (trying) to avoid getting stranded with the Caterham. Having a community like this makes it hard to imagine what getting this info was like back in the 1980s (despite living through it).

I picked up a BAT auction car today & my first impressions are really good. The car is going to live in Piedmont Triad NC. Based on my limited knowledge, the car looks quite stock. I'm really no fan of 16" wagon wheels, but I don't have any $$$ at this point, so I'll live with them (unless you want to trade your 13" minilites!!!) Want to hit me with some advice?? I need a top 10 list of items you'd think about addressing first just to get the car reliable for some Blue Ridge blasts. Things you wish you didn't put off when you became an owner? Somewhat related - gentleman who arranged sale regularly imports European cars in Durham, NC. He said it's about a $3000 project these days with tarrifs & fees. He's a TVR guy himself - but he had the car I bought imported a few years ago. Appreciate the help I've already received here. Looking forward to crossing paths out in the wild someday.

I don't pick up the car until next week, but I believe the wagon wheels are on the 4x4.25 bolt pattern - right? I'm going to try hard not to ask the 100 questions that have already been answered in the forums, but I'm sure I'll miss a hot tip somewhere. Is there a US wheel vendor who is a "go-to" for these cars? I have yet to find a lot of good options that match up with diameter, width, backspace, bolt pattern, etc. (13x6 4x108 ET24 is what I'm coming up with).

I'm new here (post count will be low.... but I'm not a scammer!) - just picked up 1995 Seven on BAT. I really don't like the wagon wheel look. I'm more of a minilite / panasport fan. I'm open to either 13 inch or 15 inch wheels. I'm thinking 6.5 inch width all around. My drives will typically be on small two-lanes around the Blue Ridge Pkwy foothills.... with an occasional VIR track day if I can swing it. I'm open to input / advice from this group and I'm also open to letting my 16-inch wagon wheels go to a new owner. THANKS

For better or worse...... this thing is coming home to live with me. I've read books, built the Tamiya model, and wondered what it would be like to have a 7 in the garage. I know this one is a little crusty (having lived the vast majority of its life in the UK), but I'm not afraid of drilling out rivets, POR15, and having a rolling project. Having just joined the group and scanned the posts about "the perfect wheel / tire fitment for USA," I will say thanks in advance for sharing your wisdom and guidance. I am NOT a big fan of the wagon wheels and will be trying to swap out to 15's (or maybe 13's as I have a pile of old Spitfire parts that I think will bolt up). Fellow NC and MidAtlantic 7 owners - please shoot me a note sometime.
