The Regular Summary of Classified Ads of Se7ens Found For Sale
Keeper replied to Croc's topic in Cars For Sale
The S1 looks nice, but what do you do about parts? Superformance switched to Caterham, right? I've been looking to get once in MA since getting a sticker here is nearly impossible from what I can gather. -
Is this still for sale?
-
Looks nice. Any more info on use, condition, track time, etc.? I'm in MA. Would it take much to get it registered/insured in MA? I can handle most service/maintenance issues but are there any shops N or W of Boston or S NH that work on Superperformance builds? If I should post this to another forum, let me know; I've just been scanning for a 7, like the look of this one, and it's relatively local. I'll take any input on buying/owning around here I can get, so links or PM's welcome.

I maintain a mailing list of about 70 Lotus owners. (Yes, many are in southern NH.) https://sites.google.com/site/nemollcarclub/events

Some Lotus owners will be getting together for lunch or dinner at Firefly's in Marlborough soon. I'm using this time to put together a calendar of 2010 events. If you want to join us or add to the events list, let me know. http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f110/fireflys-marlborough-2010-planning-83212/

I really need to considering selling my Elise and buying something like this. If I was further along, this could have been the car I bought. Unfortunately, I haven't sat or driven in an SV yet so that needs to happen first.

Several events, all open to Lotus(like) owners. Threads for each are noted below. ------------------------------------------------- Thursday Aug 06 6pm - Kimball Farm Cruise Night Westford, MA Several Lotus owners will be meeting at the show to hang out and perhaps do some event planning. There is no cost to enter the show. Post-show dinner somewhere hasn't been ruled out but most are usually filled with ice cream by then. http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f110/kimball-farms-thursday-76878/ ------------------------------------------------- Saturday Aug 15 11am - Cobra Club BBQ - RSVP BY AUG 05! http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f110/cobra-club-sports-car-cookout-lotus-invite-76489/ Jeff Gagnon hosted a great BBQ with a great variety of cars last year. See the thread for more info. http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f110/cobra-club-sports-car-cookout-lotus-invite-76489/ ------------------------------------------------- Saturday Aug 22 8:30am - Northeast Exotic Car Show Always a major event for Lotus owners in this area. Be sure to make it this year. http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f110/2009-northeast-exotic-car-show-saturday-august-22nd-76487/ ------------------------------------------------- Sunday Aug 23 12pm-6pm - Synaptic3 As you may know, Synaptic3 has become a popular destination for Lotus performance and general service. Last year's bash was a huge hit with a wide range of makes and models, great food, and prizes. http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f110/2nd-annual-synaptic-3-summer-bash-8-23-09-a-76411/

Before we drive to BBTS several Lotus owners will be meeting in Millbury for breakfast. http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f110/british-sea-car-show-june-7th-73508/ It should be a great day with a large Lotus turnout.
-
Hope you can make it. The LotusTalk thread has been update with info on breakfast at 7:00 in Millbury, MA followed by a 2.5 drive via mostly backroads to the show.

http://ctmg2005.homestead.com/files/bbts2009/bbts09info.html British by the Sea is a popular British car show at Harkness park in Waterford, CT. This year's featured marque is Lotus, and a number of people on my mailing list have already decided to attend. See the thread on LotusTalk. http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f110/british-sea-car-show-june-7th-73508/ It's is likely that we will meet somewhere for the drive down and stop somewhere for food on the ride back. If something solid comes together, I'll send another email. This show happens to conflict with this year's British Car Day at Larz. Choose wisely. -Shawn

Also posted for discussion at http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f110/events-2009-update-70371/ I maintain a BCC mailing for events that are likely to be of interest to Lotus owners in the Boston area. Here's a sample of the latest email, although the emails are generally announcements for a specific event with a link to discussion/info. If you would like to be added to the mailing list, PM me your email address. The season started early with the massive showing of cars on the 15th in Woburn. [edit: including a Birking. Anyone here?] So, what's next? Pete is already planning more events like that one and I'll keep you posted. Driving events for Lotus owners are still in planning. Due to insurance reasons there may be restrictions on some of these events if you are not at least a member of Lotus Ltd. ( http://www.lotuscarclub.org/ ). If you were considering joining Lotus Ltd. it may be good to get it out of the way now. More details to follow. If you're an active member of Lotus Ltd. please let me know. There's already talk of returning to Hurricane Mountain Road early in the season and I've started to eyeball a different route to get us there. Other driving events, lunchtime gatherings, Kimball's nights, etc. are TBD The calendar is starting to fill with dates for a number of regular car shows. This is just for planning and I'll send an email as each event approaches unless otherwise noted. Apr 10-19 (no email notice) New York Auto Show http://www.autoshowny.com/ Apr 19 Sun WPI Car Show (Worcester, MA) http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f110/time-year-again-wpi-car-show-69882/ The Egan's help organize this show, so there will be at least on Lotus there. Bring yours so it doesn't get lonely. May 24? (TBD) 3rd annual Markowski CT Coast Rally? (TBD) Gene puts together quite a ride with a mix of great cars starting at his residence near MA and ending on the CT coast. Jun 07 Sun British Car Day at the MOT (Brookline, MA) http://www.larzanderson.org/Topics/Topic.cfm?TopicName=Show%20Event&CFID=2359305&CFTOKEN=97171200&CalendarEventId=38 It's THE British car show for Bostonians. I expect we'll be meeting for breakfast again at Cabot's in Newton. BTW, it's the same day as British by the Sea in CT. Someone dropped the ball on that one. Jun 14 Sun (no email notice) European Union Auto Show (Sandwich, MA) http://www.heritagemuseumsandgardens.org/event/show/17 We keep threatening to go, but I don't know anyone who actually does. Perhaps if BCD gets rained out? Aug 22 Sat Northeast Exotic Car Show (Merrimack, NH) http://www.northeastexotic.com/ Jeff Torrey is pulling it together again for the New Hampshire Make-A-Wish Foundation. It's generally one of the more attended events among the Lotus crowd and for a good cause. Do come and invite your friends. Sep 18-20 (no email notice) British Invasion (Stowe, VT) http://www.britishinvasion.com/ This is a popular British car show, but like the European Union car show, I don't know anyone on this mailing list who is going. Last year we came close by driving around on some great roads in central VT while those at the show looked at their cars. -Shawn "The shortest distance between two points is probably boring."
