  2. Guys: As usual you are all my trusty resource for help. Working at a startup now means that I will little time to spend on maintenance and regular service. I wonder if anyone in the bayarea has had experience with local mechanics in servicing a caterham. I have a R300 that I need help with. Thanks in advance for your help.
  3. So I bought a caterham r300 kit with the intention to do build. But with no time at hand and more responsibilities, I am unable to spend time on the build. I was wondering if there is anyone in the bay area (nor cal) who assembles caterhams.
  4. @Johnch Yeah you are right the default is the 'S3'. but i got the SV so I have the 'S5'. @Jimrankin I will definitely take you up on that offer once I have finished building my kit @southwind25 Thanks! So, I was fitting the ARB and the assembly guide says that you have to fit the inner radiator cowl first. I couldn't find the bobbins or understand the assembly. Can anyone clarify this for me or post pictures. Thanks in advance. Chaithsc
  5. @Todo Let me know if I can help in anyway. I did plenty of research to identify the right kit for me @scannon She does have a brother but alas no sister . That's really nice caterham you have there. I can not wait to finish building mine @JohnCh I got the CATERHAM R300 (I think by default they have the SV chassis). I have considered any upgrades yet but from what I hear from people, I am going to get a serious case of upgraditis soon. Do you have any suggestions for transmission on the suggested ford motor (that is the only thing pending) @jimrankin I got the SB100 this year. so I think once I have completed the kit, I should be able to get it registered. Let me know how it goes for you. San Mateo is were I work. I would love to see that '58Jag XK150 (drool)
  6. Trust me - I know the feeling of wanting one. If only I can make the time to finish building the car as soon as possible.
  7. Hi Everyone. I must say I have been reading these forums for a long time no. I would look day in and day out at the listings on the cars for sale thread, drool and dream every time I saw a Caterham/lotus. I have wanted to build one since I was 10 years old. As luck would have it, my fiance (who knew about my crazy obsession with cars) decided to buy me a kit as a wedding present. Yeah! I know I am lucky . So now I have a kit sitting in the garage. Hopefully I will be able to finish building it before the summer and get it registered. Please feel free to give me any advice on the assembly as I am embark on this passage to driving nirvana. Also, if any one in the bay area wants to lend me a hand in the build process, please let me know. Thanks Chaits
