CNC machine took over the porting. I wonder if one day the CNC can be programmed too to do the block. You have a sets of program specification for Nissan - Ford - Toyota -- high performance cars....etc..etc Bring the block in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon.

That's amazing, I thought only in my state. I can't find a machine shop too. Most of the machine shop I knew for years also closed. Why do you think the reason? People are buying used engine instead of rebuilding it? Or kids are no longer interested going to trade school ? The old machinist are like dying species. Once its gone, its done and closed.

"There's an interesting sub thread going about patents, copyrights, and design patents." This, probably will work in a civilized world - but under china, they have a complete absence of law and common morals. No one trusts any contract or agreement in China because they are always broken by the Chinese and there is no legal protection whatsoever. Just what bolus said from the sub thread: "They encourage kids to use plagiarism in school. How are you going to convince them that's its wrong."

ain't over til it's over I heard alibaba (twice larger than amazon) is now in the mix If there's a market....it will come.

then came the rest: I guess Ariel Atom is not immune to the same trend. ....and this is funny to read: http://www.exocars.net/showthread.php?t=17789 Reminds me of the court fight between Caterham vs Westfield -- at the end they can't stop the flood of other marques. Apparently, Dennis Palatov involved importing a bunch Atom China and sold here in the USA for $12,000 (at ebay) as oppose of buying $63,000 for the TMI ariel atom roller. This too will never stop coming. Exact copy !

Watch the old man video: how he made 16 cyl BOXER engine in his old unheated garage: Brilliant...not too many of these left. http://thekneeslider.com/16-cylinder-h16-engine-to-power-new-motorcycle-under-construction-by-andreas-georgeades/ There are so many cavities inside that engine & its sitting flat -- wonder how effective his oiling system.

Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership proposal is not breathing. Started during 1990's revived by Merkel 2006 and United States 2014, I never heard the proposal since. The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) is an ambitious, comprehensive, and high-standard trade and investment agreement being negotiated between the United States and the European Union T-TIP will help unlock opportunity for American families, workers, businesses, farmers and ranchers through increased access to European markets for Made-in-America goods and services. This will help to promote U.S. international competitiveness, jobs and growth. Advantage: China ---- we want junk "made in china" Four days ago, Obama visited Asia, made agreement with the Chinese on carbon emission deal (greenhouse emission)but never push The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) an ambitious, 21st century trade agreement that the United States is negotiating with 11 other countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region (Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Vietnam). A copycat proposal similar to the European & US transatlantic partnership. This too, I predicted will be nailed in the coffin. Advantage: China...garbage in garbage out product made in china. Sorry, I'm not ready to buy a Seven MADE IN CHINA
