  1. I'm interested as well, might have a couple other guys as well.Ones running a 1st gen Rx7 thats run the Targa Newfoundland a couple times and a buddy is building cobra coupe that might be ready by then. I have my bike engined sort of seven'ish autox/track toy, about to megasquirt it shortly so if the wiring and tune goes well I'll let you know.
  2. I live a couple hours away and would love to be involved if someone makes this happen next year.
  3. Adding a bigger bar to the front is the wrong way to go imo(unless your running a stock class vw perhaps),the end that loses grip 1st is the end to soften not make stiffer as its already transfering too much weight. Soften the front 1st(assumming your alignments in the right place),get as much grip as you can find and once your there than tune the rear with stiffer springs, bar and shock settings for the balance you want. Always tune the end with the least grip 1st,makes no sense to try and reduce the rear grip to balance out the front without 1st optimising the front. Also if your looking at a different tire I wouldn't spend too much effort tuning with the stuff you have now, sticky tires will need a different alignment and roll stiffness front and rear to get the most out of them.
  4. I do but its a little different than the normal configuration with the engine in the drivers seat.I'm using the u-joints at the engine end with the engine turned to be in-line with the shaft and a cv joint on the diff end. The picture doesn't show the loop for safety btw,the car isn't running just yet to know how well it'll work. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o50/kevlarcorolla/newracecar004.jpg http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o50/kevlarcorolla/DSC00836.jpg
  5. Nope,wouldn't mind 1 however.

  6. Do you own a E30 M3 as well?

  7. I did tons of research prior to my chosing the R1 for my build, yes its down in power/tq to the larger engines but I intend to add boost after sorting the car this season. I simply couldn't afford the 'busa/zx14 car kits especially once the $$ to make them survive is included.I can fab all my own stuff to turbo the R1 for peanuts and make well over 200hp with tq to match for less. Just a thought.
  8. I bought mine from Hawk machine in the states,I'm using an R1. Good price and received it right away, also includes a free manual on cd.
  9. Anyone have an e-mail address for this fellow?,need to gather parts to continue my project.
