  1. Here you go Jim, Click Here,
  2. This one snuck in to town a week or two back. Roadsport 170SV, nothing fancy (yet) as far as options. I was originally going to order/build a kit but this one was ready to go and close enough to what I'd like and the temptation was too great. http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk27/adamgx50/Caterham/CIMG0980Small.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk27/adamgx50/Caterham/CIMG0977Small.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk27/adamgx50/Caterham/CIMG0985Small.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk27/adamgx50/Caterham/CIMG0981Small.jpg Still in the process of getting the title, what fun, not! Adam
  3. Tom. Do you have some documentation substantiating that, I may need it! Adam
  4. Yes, thats my car! Pin stripes and harnesses (and license plate) to complete.
  5. I think they might have had an R300 or 400, that was Gulf, but not sure. Mine was the one at British Auto Specialists in Ft. Worth. Sometime this week once I get the pinstripes on the car I'll take some photos and start a thread in the right place in the forum. Cheers, Adam
  6. Hi Jim, dont worry, all will be revealed in photos and details shortly. The 7 has the Gulf Oil levery but needs some royal blue pinstripes to complete it, hopefully this week and then some photos. Adam
  7. I'm begining to think that a crate motor Duratec 2.0l comes without a serial/ID number. The casting model numbers are on the exhaust side of the block down byt the motor mount, anyone know where the correct location of the engine serial/ID number is/should be? There is a lovely flat shiny surface on rear right by the bellhousing that I think would be the obvious location. Mine is blank, but still, the actual location could be hidden away somewhere else. Cheers, Adam
  8. I'm going to order the seat bottom plastic and fab something up at home, looks like a doable task. Thanks for all the good info here!
  9. Interesting stuff, pics would help understand the whole thing if you could!
  10. If you have upgraded seats or replaced worn ones I am looking for a current spec cloth (or leather I guess) seat bottom (the plastic+cushion part), I want a spare that I can take the stuffing out of for the track to get me a little lower down. Thanks in advance! Adam
  11. Yes, I intend using the 6pt, just for off track use where a normal 3pt would have been used, I was liking the option to just use the 4 pts leaving the subs under/in front of the seat.
  12. Guys, any recommendations for a 6pt harness that using the sub-straps is optional, unlike these rather nice ones from Willans. These have the sub strap T permanently latched in to the center lock. Also hoping to find ones that are silver.. Cheers, Adam
  13. That looks like a great car and has plenty of nice goodies to go with it! Tempting....
  14. Thanks for the laps in the Fireblade this weekend! Interesting and very sharp looking ride! Those Houston area folk that didn't make it to the LOST track day at Grandsport missed out! Perfect weather and a great bunch of people and cars showed up!
  15. Don, congrats on the sale, I am looking forward to the new owner getting it, he is a good friend of mine. Now I just need to find one for me!
  16. Beautiful Cat, do the ear plugs down in the gear stick sock come with it? Glad you aren't in Houston, I don't think I'd be able to resist!

    Replied!! Check your email.
  18. Don't worry found what I was looking for re the Mojito! Wow... Still, like to know how a more traditional Seven handles on a track like TWS, I've done 165 CW there at the end of the straight (996TT), left the braking too late on that one and blushingly took the banking instead of risking the inevitable spin instead.. Either direction with the banking to inside course transition being so brutal I'd like to know how the Sevens handle that..
  19. Wings on his Caterham? Any pictures? I'd like to talk to Kevin, sorry I am new on here, whats his screen name? Thanks, Adam
  20. Are the E Production Caterhams vastly different from their road going brothers? Would it take a major effort and finances to make an E Production Caterham road legal? Are the roll cages bolt on or welded?
  21. Thanks for the reply Drew. I started scouring the internet and at least have found a lot of evidence of Caterhams doing very well in the SCCA events around the local tracks including TWS. I am guessing that their owners aren't on the forum unfortunately.
  22. On the SV vs normal size 7, I need to drive a few to decide on that.. I'd prefer a standard size 7 to be honest if I can get comfy enough in it with a passenger. The SV was incredibly roomy and comfortable though, amazing what a little extra space does...
  23. Ken, for the track I am switching to PFC 97's now, I ran Pagid yellows for my last set that are obviously a great setup but a royal pain in the ear for the street, they make your car sound like a school bus so I was switching back to OEM after the track. I get OEM pads from Sunset Porsche , my contact there is Jeff Clark, great guy to deal with. For the PFC's go to Michael Neujahr at Motorsport Brake Specialists I haven't gotten the PFC's on my car yet as I missed the track day I was planning to attend last Friday, but a friend has the same compound on his S2000CR and finds them very streetable. I am hoping that'll be the case and will keep them on my car full time. I ran PFC's more aggressive compound (01's) before and they are fantastic. Another tip, being so heavy, the 996TT's when on the track generate a ton of heat, I have tried Motol RBF for brake fluid which is fine, but needs to be bled every event, I switched to Endless RF-650 since then and done multiple events without the bleed, that stuff is phenominal, just change it out once a year..
  24. Has anyone on here tracked at TWS (College Station, Texas) in a Seven? I am interested to hear your experience, especially what kind of speeds you have gotten to at the end of the front straight in either direction and how the car handles coming of the banked straight back down to the level infield. What kinds of speeds are you guys reaching on faster tracks and where if any does the lack of general aero downforce start to cause chills down you spine and a genuine worry for safety and jittery handling?
