  1. Car sold, thanks USA7s! I'll let the new owner make the announcement himself. I'll be back with even more power after I make some whiskey in an alcohol burning Seven! Karl
  2. OK, to see if I can get some more interest, at the asking price I'll include the trailer ($15,000 replacement cost). It's the perfect size for a Caterham and since it is aluminum, easy to tow. 2010 Featherlite 1610 16' long, 7' High Warn Winch (easy to get the car in with this) 2 Marine Batteries 2 Solar Pannels RB Components Cabinets and Tire Rack Aluminum Floor Extended Ramp Security Lock On Side Door Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac336/blubarisax/IMG00119-20110514-1756.jpg http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac336/blubarisax/IMG00118-20110514-1659.jpg
  3. Not exactly my still, it's still in production, but the same design.
  4. Seriously, who doesn't want to go 0-60 in 2.8 seconds?

  6. I got the a-arm foils from MOG-Racing.com. I had to cut about 1/2 inch off of the bottom lip to make them fit (at Joachim's recommendation). Through a series of complex aerodynamic testing behind Tom and Mike, I have been able to calculate an addition of 1 pound of down force at 135 mph! But they sure look good! Karl
  7. Mike, You should try Cleveland Whiskey. It's a bit of an Ohio hit and they have been doing well with it.
  8. I could not make it to Bergen Maserati Cars & Coffee (working on the distillery) but hear it was well attended. http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac336/blubarisax/f685aeab-2995-47c7-9793-0f2525e76aaa_zps87fff21e.jpg
  9. Well, the "heads" from the distillation make an excellent solvent.
  10. My latest thought is to age the Bourbon barrels in the passenger seat of the Caterham on track. Tom tells me aging Bourbon on an ocean going ship is all the rage, so 1.5g in the corners should really work! That would definitely make it tax deductible. Then if I sell the car to Denning's Point Distillery, and our friends in the government extend the 179 deduction I can expense the car all at once. Shazam, 40% of the sale cost comes right off my personal income taxes. Croc, as a CFO can you approve this plan? Hopefully, 500# of Bourbon onboard won't hurt my lap times. Karl
  11. Unfortunately, current laws do not allow me to sell by mail order... Maybe someday.
  12. I think I should check with an account on the deduction rules!
  13. Here is a little article about Denning's Point Distillery. If I park the car inside the distillery as an attraction, does it become tax deductible?
  14. I have come to the point where I need to explore selling my beloved Caterham to fund a new business venture (Whiskey Distillery). At this point I'm not desperate to part with it, but I promised the wife I would not dip into the retirement/savings for startup funds. So, here is what I have. 2009 Caterham SV (Built by Caterham USA in late 2010) About 5,000 miles, perhaps 2,000 track miles. Engine: - Cosworth/Duratec 2.3L (267 HP at the wheels) - 13:1 Compression (yes race gas) - SBD Hot Cams - SBD Light Weight Flywheel - SBD Race Clutch - MBE 9A4 Open ECU - Carbon Fiber Cam Cover - Race Radiator Gearbox - Sedev Sequential Transmission - Geartronics Paddle Shift Kit Safety - ATL Fuel Cell - Schroth Belts - Tillett Carbon Fiber Seats - Full Roll Cage - Lowered Floors Suspension - Nitron 3-Way Dampers with Helper Springs Wheels (three full sets) - BBS w/ Michelin Used Slicks (three sets), Black Anodized Barrels - Rial w/ Avon CR500s, Painted Black and Orange - Rial w/ Michelin Used Rain Slicks (90% new) Electronics - AIM Smartycam GP - AIM Solo DL - Stack Analog Gauges (Speedo, Tach, Oil Pressure, Water Temp, Oil Temp, Fuel - Transponder - Xenon Headlights Carbon Goodies - 5" Headlamps - Air Scoop - Rear Wing Guards - CF Nose with Spoiler - Aero Screen - Aero Wings Spares - Orange Fiberglass Rear Wings - Orange Fiberglass Nose - CF Front Wings and extra Wingstays - Brake Rotors, Calipers and Pads - Front Uprights/hubs - Windscreen (Rock Chip) - Horn What's not there to save weight - Horn - Windshield Wipers - Ignition Key Switch If you are looking for a track Caterham this is just the ticket. Porsche GT-3s will hate you, even on the straights. There are always a few bugs to work out, but the car is ready for the track. You may know the car was in a crash back in 2011 at Lime Rock CT. Every part that was in question was replaced with new, including a completely new Chassis Body Unit. The mechanic who rebuilt it took great care to make sure it was put back together better than new. I'll work on taking some detailed pictures, but here are a few to get you started. I am asking 70K but willing to talk to anyone. As you may have guessed, I have about 110K into the car, maybe more, but please don't tell my wife... Willing to make a good deal to a buyer on a 16" Featherlite trailer chock full of RB Components cabinets, a winch, solar panels and more... I am not in a rush to sell it so I can still drive at the East Coast 7's event! http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac336/blubarisax/20130929_WGI_DE3_9076_zps6dc0cb79.jpg http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac336/blubarisax/aerowing_zpsa4a98962.jpg http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac336/blubarisax/IMG_0102.jpg http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac336/blubarisax/6845677912_77e288fc14_o.jpg
