  1. There is Scrumpy - Merridale Estate Cidery | Cider http://www.merridalecider.com/
  2. Some of you will gather in nanaimo for the fri night and join others who will overnight in the Victoria area or come in on the Sat morning ferries. We will plan to run the loop through Sooke, Port Renfrew, Lake Cowichan and end up back in Nanaimo for Saturday night. On the Sunday, some might like to do a west coast run to Tofino/Ucluelet, we can stay local and end up at the Crow and Gate or we could do a mostly backroads and vineyard/cidery run to deliver some back to Victoria. Open to thoughts...
  3. I also have a challenge because I want to complete my second Stalker by August! Perhaps we can have a new owner come and pick up #17 and join us on the loop. We have about 16 or 17 who have expressed interest so please keep talking this up. Washington and Oregon are an easy reach by Port Angeles???
  4. Just a little prompt to remind that I have a list of as many as 15 for 2012 and we will get this organized. I am building a Super Stalker but it is likely to be in progress, but who knows... If we had a prospective owner for the 2004 3.4 Stalker, they might get the existing car for the run and I will chase with tools in my GTI!!! Having just taken said GTI to and from Tofino, it is worth reminding all that Vancouver Island offers some incredible drives - a message for all considering a holiday on the island in 2012 or 2013. Happy to add others to our email list if you contact chriscampbellattelus.net Happy new year to all
  5. Vancouver Island Sevens for 2012 We are pondering thoughts of the BC Day weekend (Aug 4,5,6). Maybe Victoria to Nanaimo Scenic Marine Circle route on 4th (inc Nanaimo-Victoria blast for some), Local Nanaimo backroads and Super7 Cars and lunch at the Crow and Gate on 5th. Barbecue chez nous on 4th or 5th. http://www.th.gov.bc.ca/circle_route...fic_marine.htm http://maps.google.ca/?ie=UTF8&ll=48...h&z=13&vpsrc=6 The circle route looks interesting - expanding the google map to look at Robertson/Hillcrest road looks eve more interesting. Chasing three aggressively ridden sport bikes was more interesting. Learning that the Stalker was faster than them in the real twisty stuff was a revelation! If we pull off a Vancouver Island "Sevens" gathering, I hope we can do this again - likely a bit slower so that we can enjoy the views. We have one room with two doubles and one other room with a double so first calls get them! David Peck (Super & Cars) is also offering beds. Ferries will have to be reserved that weekend, but this way visitors mitt have the excitement of taking different ferry routes at each end! Best cruise value on the planet… Longwood BrewPub is one of the best. Lots of reasons to be here. Send me an email if you want to plan to be here - chriscampbellattelus.net

We must have done almost 2000 miles this summer, mostly on backroads.
  8. An interesting (!) testimonial to the Stalker! Perhaps a little commentary of life on Saltspring Island. It also shows the roll cage and higher windshield (bliss - I can actually see the road ahead!). I plan some photos and notes on the refresh of #17 if I ever get time.

Next year Vancouver Island? If you will accept a Stalker...
  14. The chassis 17 Stalker is now on Vancouver Island. Seemed like a way to join the crowd while deciding whether to build one!
