Scratch built 7 for sale $16,000

It is time to sell the 7 and move on to something else.

The car is a scratch built car not a Caterham, Bikin, or westfield. I do have a full photo library of the build.

It was built by a retired gentleman in Florida from 1999-2003 It is extremely solidly built. He sold it to a gentleman who raced it at road atlanta quite a bit.

I bought it a little over 2 years ago and am the 3rd owner. I drive it on the road periodically, mainly just to work and home but I have taken it to a couple shows and auto crossed it once.

I had it dyno tuned. It puts out about 130hp Toyota 4age 20v silvertop

The rear axle and front spindles are alfa romeo (limited slip rear)

Car has 16" Caterham 5 spoke wheels, and also comes with 15" caterham prisoner wheels

front fenders are caterham cycle fenders, I have a set of matching Caterham rear fenders not yet installed.

doors are Caterham SV doors. There is no top and there are no windshield wipers ( I do have all the stuff to make a top which will go with the car)

Windshield is Lexan

Has Tillet carbon fiber Caterham seats.

Caterham exhaust shield

Bushings in front suspension are poly which I installed when I bought the car.

Aldan eagle adjustable coilover shocks all the way around

Stewart Warner gauges. However speedo is a GPS based unit not a Stewart Warner gauge.

Brakes were replaced with drilled rotors and new pads. Brake fluid was drained and replaced too.

It's a great car and goes like hell. The toyota motor is indestructible. It comes with an spare T50 transmission as well

All in all a great car that will turn heads and go like hell

Flaws:

The paint on the nose and rear fenders was done by previous owner with a spray can so it doesn't look real great in person.

Aluminum on the sides could use some sanding. The car had numbers on it so the outline of the numbers can still be seen.

Nice looking car! (although no windshield wipers would be an issue for me here in Arizona). If that's your TR6,

here's an unsolicited piece of advice (again about wipers, oddly)…swap those wipers around and you'll see that

they nest better. Unless it's your personal preference I think you'll find someone installed them backwards

at some point. Good luck with your sale!!

Ian,

If you are going to leave a negative comment on my for sale thread please explain yourself.

The car has done almost 10,000 miles of street, highway, race track miles and has no issues. I believe the car is built to high standard and would be willing to drive it anywhere.

PLease explain why you think the suspension is "SCARY"

the extended length, unsupported ball joint in bending

the spring/damper punch loads through flat stock on the lower A-Arm

I will delete my earlier comment and leave others to decide for themselves
