tjmarrone
I am looking for an owner of a Birkin S3 in the San Francisco Bay area to let me bring my wife to your car and let her sit in it to see if she is comfortable. I have made the mistake of buying a Lotus Elise and she is not comfortable in it, or getting in and out of it. Want to find another car she can also enjoy and a seven type car has been on my list for a couple of decades. From what I have learned the Birkin has about 16 1/2" in the seat area while the Elise has about 14 1/2" in the seat. We are up in Sebastopol, the closer the better of course, but I am willing to make a day out of it, the Elise mistake will cost me way more than that by the time I sell it. Thanks in advance, T. J. 408 three one four 4211 cell if you want to call.
Davemk1
I think having her sit in a car would be a good idea........that said I've owned both an Elise and a Birkin S3 and the Elise is like a limo in comparison. You sit in the Elise and you wear a Seven. dave
rzempel
Be aware that there are several seat options for the Birkin. Among them, comfort ranges from painful to almost luxurious. My 2001 stock seats were horrible, but the replacement "sport" seats are day-long comfortable. Randall
FE07
As the owner of both an elise and a 7, I agree with Dave. My wife hates the 7 but she will ride in the elise. Neither are easy to get in and out of. If you think YOU might want a 7, my advice would be to NOT have your wife sit in it first!! Jim
ropaSeven
On the other side of that coin, Sherron bought a Birkin and loves it. I took her to see them and take a test ride. She's been a proud owner since 2006. Her and I drove to the top of Pikes Peak with her small Yorkie dog. She can't get in an Elise, but does get in the Europa and Stalker.
