Temp Sender Cross Reference

We've nearly finished the engine assembly (:hurray:), but the temp sender was a casualty today:

Which brings me to my question, where can I pick one up locally? It looks like a VDO gauge:

I was hoping there's something out there that crosses to a common vehicle or can be ordered from Summit or a similar vendor. I'd like to break the engine in w/o having to rely on an IR thermometer.
