So I'm rolling through the neighborhood in the vette, top down, sun glasses on... These two kids have setup a lemonade stand. They come running to the edge of the road, waving their sign, etc... I wasn't in the mood, so waved at them and drove on.

 

Then I decided what the heck, so went around the block, pulled up and asked for a lemonade.

 

Kid's like that's $1.00 . So I said A DOLLAR for a lemonade? So he says, OK, 2 for a $1.00. I say so how about 1 for 0.50. :lol:

 

I KNOW i'm a cheapass, but damn... My kids sell 'em for 0.25 a cup.

 

Anyway, it's yellow, and sort of tastes like a lemonade :leaving:

It's getting worse every day. Kids expect to make $40k/year at their summer jobs. I had a kid come offer to mow my lawn this summer for only $30/mow. I about fell over laughing. I told if I was going to pay him that much he was going to use a pair of scissors and a ruler to be EVERY blade was the same length. He wanted to use my mower and my gas for $30/mow.... In the spring I mow my yard 2-3 times a week, there is NO way I was going to give a kid $90/week to mow my little city lot.
