The people at QA 1 have been very helpful in helping me valve my shocks, and they have many body and shaft lengths to mix and match

Thanks - I reached out to QA1, will see what they've got.

I would watch out for the upper ball joint on the upper control arm, it's a very poor design the upper ball joints are not supposed to take that much load. The car I checked out in PA it was pointed out to me that they were bent. So check them out and replace them if in doubt with good quality units.

The QA1 rep got back to me very quickly - it looks like the DS404 should suit my needs.

Thanks. The upper ball joint does appear to be the tie rod end from a 60's Ford truck. I've got a set of Moog replacements. Were you suggesting to change the design or just make sure to use a quality brand?
