WOW! What great fun! Thanks Steve, Amy, Drew!

Lots of good times with good friends. The day was wonderful. The cars ran great. The roads were scenic. The food was good.

Short wayside stop by lake Pepin:

Another short stop at a beautiful overlook:

Another Fabulous overlook:

Drew looking cool, me looking like an idiot:

Of course the 5 minute stop, to see the overlook, turned into an hour long "show-and-tell":

The shot probably most representative of the roads all day long:

Smell-o-vision? ----- See a farm, smell a farm...

Almost the end of the day:

I had to beg Brenda to take this evidence shot of my "Bug Smashing":

Wow...weather looked beautiful...thanks for the update and pix! (Hmm, does that box you're holding in the first shot have a NJ return address, Brent? :D )

And thanks to Brent for taking the initiative to put together a regional event. I tell you, I would have enjoyed my drive today a lot more if just one or two more Se7ens had been around...

Your photo of the cars by Lake Pepin appears to be in Lake City. I stopped in a drive in restaurant there around 15 summers back and they offered home made root beer in a root beer float. The kid selling the stuff was likely the son of the banjo playing lad in Deliverance; and root beer was just as good as the banjo playing!! Naturally concluded that the the area is so rural that the bootleggers make root beer.............
