Hash
I bought my Rotus on Friday. It is a 1988 model with a Buick 215 V-8. It had been sitting in a garage and only has 4000 miles on it. I will post some pictures of it when I get home from work.
slngsht
Hash, Congrats!!!! looking forward to the pictures. how much paperwork did you get with the car?
slngsht
Hash, My car had a 215 V8 when I got it. At the time, I found the following folks / resources very valuable: Old Yellow on this forum - he also is the owner of the Rotus Yahoo group. His Rotus is rotary powered, but he's very knowledgeable on the Rover V8 the 215V8 yahoo group is your best bet for finding info, and getting solutions to anything related to that engine. Ted Panofski has a rover v8 powered Rotus. He's not a member here, but he's on the Rotus Yahoo group and the 215V8. Hope this helps... BTW, who did you buy your car from, and were they the original owners?
Hash
Thanks for the info. I have been looking around myself and found some great info. The car is in great shape and has not really been driven all that much over the years. I am going to start working on it when it is garaged this winter. It was a purchased new by Dr. Ramsey here in Missouri. He gave it to his son who is a good friend of mine. He did not really want it for some reason and when he told me he was selling it I jumped on the opportunity. I remember driving in it when I was in 6th grade and ever since I have been a fan of the Lotus 7. I recieved some paperwork with the car. I have the pamphlet with the women leaning on a rotus on the front cover. It has some copies of articles and sale price in it. It also came with the one with the cut away picture of the rotus that I have seen posted on here or in the yahoo forum. I also have the KIT Car Magazine's that have a rotus buildup featured in them. If you want me to photocopy any of it just let me know.

powderbrake
Hash: Congratulations on a great looking car, I hope to see it some day. I am in St.Louis, perhaps we can get together for a blat sometime. The local lotus club ( STALLS) is very welcoming to all types of Se7ens, and has cruises a couple times a year. You are fortunate, as west of Cape Girardeau, in south central missouri are lots of great twisty roads. I have arranged a 3 day 600 mile tour of that area, and 4 of us are doing it next week. you can contact me at geddens at charter dot net
