Sevins7 Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 (edited) Hi guys! So I am going to fit a pressure regulator and gauge to my '95 Classic (1600 X-flow). I understand that the best place is close to the tank but it would be a major pain to access back there. I dont have a heater so there is loads of room in the engine bay area. Any thoughts or comments gladly received. Aloha! Edited March 23, 2022 by Sevins7
bball7754 Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 I mounted mine under the carbs. My ‘98 has a mounting bracket for the windshield washer fluid reservoir, which I never used, under the carbs. Removed the reservoir and drilled a few holes in the bracket for the pressure regulator. Steve 1
Sevins7 Posted March 23, 2022 Author Posted March 23, 2022 Thanks mate. That is exactly what I was thinking. I just noticed it and it would be perfect for the job. Mahalo!
IamScotticus Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 That thing is really pretty. It would be a shame to hide it down there! 1
Sevins7 Posted March 23, 2022 Author Posted March 23, 2022 Actually I have been reading that it is far better close to the carbs or fuel rail so that spot is quite perfect. It is nice and it would be nice to see it more. Still looking and thinking!
Sevins7 Posted March 23, 2022 Author Posted March 23, 2022 (edited) Yes I know...... The guy that just rebuilt my carbs suggested it. Edited March 23, 2022 by Sevins7
