spitfun
SOLD SOLD- This Superformance S-1 is a Lotus Seven style car which was built in 2002. Subsequent work included a modified 2.0-liter Ford Zetec, a strengthened and re-geared Ford T9 five-speed manual transmission, a Quaife limited-slip differential has been added, brake and suspension upgrades, MegaSquirt 3 engine management with Bluetooth, a stainless steel exhaust system with a catalytic converter, and more. This S-1 shows 18,xxx miles and is offered with service records, design documents, a build list, spare parts and tools, a soft top and side curtains, adjustable pedals for taller drivers and a CLEAR TITLE SHOWING THE CAR AS A 1965 Lotus Seven S1-easy registering for many states... The car is finished in yellow and comes with a black soft top, rear cockpit cover, and side curtains with rollup windows (very similar to the Caterham version). I have fitted fitted new carbon fiber front fenders with custom mounts as well as lining and repainting the rear fenders and new 200TW Falken tires purchased this year with less than 200 miles on them. Stripes are not painted on and can be removed if desired.. Silver 17″ Kosei K1-TS wheels are wrapped in 205/40 Falken RT660 tires. Six-piston Wilwood brake calipers and larger rotors (upgraded from factory 4-piston) with aluminum-hat rotors are fitted up front, while four-piston Wilwood calipers and vented rotors can be found at the rear. The previous owner replaced the brake pads and changed the brake fluid approx. 2k miles ago. The interior is trimmed in black vinyl and features bucket seats, race harnesses, a removable steering wheel, diamond-plate aluminum floor panels. Mounts have been made for a cellphone in the cabin and for a camera between the roll hoops. USB and trickle charger ports have also been added. The carbon fiber dash panel houses rewired VDO instrumentation including a speedometer, a rotated tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure and temperature, coolant temperature, and fuel level and a clock. The digital odometer shows 18,xxx miles. (Engine running video: The five-speed Ford Type 9 manual transmission has been re-geared and strengthened with components from BGH Gear Tech. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a custom driveshaft and a 3.91:1 rear end with a Quaife limited-slip differential. The rear suspension has been upgraded with new steel trailing arms and independent urethane bushings, a Mumford link with rod ends, and reinforced chassis mount points. A stainless steel exhaust system with a catalytic converter has also been installed. Custom mirrors were also added along with a custom grill and new black headlights that are now LED,rear tail lights are now also LED. The car is supplied with design and service records, spare parts and fluids, MegaSquirt system, tuning cables, special tools and stock wheels. I will be adding to this ad as time allows. There is a small chip in the rear fender (see pic) that was done by previous owner-it only goes thru the gel coat,I put the sticker over it (I know, not the best fix),also, there is a crack in the paint on the passenger side front of hood, hard to see in pics, just going for full disclosure. The car runs great, handles awesome and is one of the best tributes to the original I have came across. Edited June 29, 2023 by spitfun

spitfun
Well, other than I have a sickness ( at least that's what my wife says) to switching up cars no reason. I just got back from an autocross and the car runs and drive great. I think I may go back to a BEC ( bike engine) style 7. If you know of any for sale send them my way.... spitfun
Here is the camera mount that is included with the sale.As you can see,I am on the larger size for a 7 ( 5'8" , 250 lbs) and fit fine.... SuperFormance did a great job on the dimensions (a little longer and wider than a standard Caterham and a little shorter than an SV) assuring most drivers will fit in the car. IamScotticus
is the air intake pulled from within the scuttle or foot wells? I have often thought of trying to use footwell air for intake as ir would help with part of the heat issue. Unwanted side effect is dirt is drawn there too. spitfun
No I do not. I just saw it go for 77K on BAT a little while back!!
Anaximander
There have been some crazy prices commanded on BAT that don't make any sense even in today's market. I suspect that in the coming year, we are going to see a correction in the enthusiast market as peoples stock market portfolios and housing values potentially tank. The "wealth effect" is getting more difficult for some of us to imagine
Cueball1
I finally get where i need to be to start adding fun cars to the stable and the used market goes bonkers. Used cars like the vette selling for substantially over new cost or that Brunton selling for double what they had been moving for previously. A market correction can't come fast enough!
