WTB: Headlights

Anyone have a pair laying around you want to part with, I know a lot of folks have upgraded to the smaller ones.

Sounds like you want seven inch buggy lights versus 5-3/4 motorcycle buckets? Lots of options out there. Buckets can be stud or swivel mount, flat, round or teardrop back (like '40s chevy). Are they going to be mounted sideways like the car had originally? May need to mod cat buckets to change the lamp key slot 90 degrees if it has a slot. Small headlamps inside the grill?

I have an extra pair available, very similar to original spec Lucas S700. The red ones on my car are the original S700, the yellow ones are available.

While we are on the subject, what have people been buying in a smaller size like 5 3/4 or even smaller. My big ones are like the yellow/red ones pictured- bottom mount.

Look for a 5-3/4, bottom mount bucket. These have two flanges on the bottom to swivel on. The mounting block that goes between the flanges and the car mount brkt is available with the bucket or separately.  If it doesn't hold the vertical aiming adjustment, consider replacing the plastic washers with rubber and add a lock washer under the nut. If the bucket comes painted, plan to paint or clear coat before installation. If the car is out of the weather, chrome versions will probably last a while. The EPA has made high quality chrome plating very expensive. Chrome-like powdercoat is another option. Hella DOT projector assemblies with servo beam control for hi-lo are a bit smaller. I think those are on the Atom.
