Separating 4 pin econoseal connectors

I can't figure out how to pull the two halves apart. I've tried pushing down on the little tab that says AMP2 and pulling, but that doesn't seem to be working. Am I missing a hidden catch? Is it just harder than I think to pull the halves apart? Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like you lift the U shaped piece to release (below the A in AMP in your pic) but it's hard to tell from one pic.
