Hey guys, I have a 2016 Roadsport 140 going on BAT next week.  Apparently VIN decodes as a 2001, wanted to see if they used non-standard prefixes or if anyone can shed light on this?

I believe your vin means its a 2014 year rather than 2001. It's slightly confusing as rules for vin changed depending on the year.

10th digit - Manufacture year M=91, N=92, P=93, Y=2000, 1=2001, 2=2002 etc until 2010 after 2010, this number is for the decade (1=2010s, 2=2020s) 11th digit - Until 2010, this was a production sequence number, typically zero. After 2010, this became part of the manufacture year. "17" for digits 10 and 11 means the car was made in 2017.
