MHKflyer52
:)Just recived today my December Issue of GRM Vol 24 No 8 and on page 67 (no number on the page) is an article called BOOK SMART Building a Challenge Car by the Book. It is about a young gent named Shaun Hinds and his Locost 7 for the GRM Challenge. I have to say from the photos he has built a nice car that he gave to his Grand Father as a b-day present and did it for $1464.87 US dollars. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/855853632_Locost%207%20GRM%20Article.jpg Nice job Shaun Hinds if you are a memeber of this group and reading this post. toyokogyo12aturbo
Whoo-hoo!. I'm famous. I was just emailed a link to this thread. I'm a member now. The article said it was done for $1464.87 Actually it has under $500 in it but since we are only allowed to recouple up to $1003.50, I couldn't remove any more from the budget by the rules. I still have a few Miata body panels left over, some perfect seats and a few other items from the donor car. Once those are sold the total expenses will go even lower. So the question is can one make a profit by building a 7 replica. We'll see. Thanks for the compliments. Shaun
