Mandurath Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2892 dunno how many would be interested, but a machinist is making these for some folks. Thought some here may be interested on some shiny stuff for their ride. More made is less cost i think, unsure about custom lettering.
Boxologist Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 not sure about the "lotus" part. maybe "nekkid engine!" or "did I pass Tech?"
athens7 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Very pretty, but, as usual with Zetec stuff like this, no go for SVT owners unless a hole is cut out for the vct solenoid. I have a contact who is working on a modified SVT insert that will clear the bonnet; pics for any interested SVT owners (all three of us) when I get them.
gjslutz Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Put me in for one. It could further help with my 67 Lotus / Birkin with lifetime plates. I don't think I'll be here in 2050 to renew them.
Mandurath Posted December 8, 2007 Author Posted December 8, 2007 You would have to contact him on it, i am not the one making them, another locoster is. Heheh, i am not using a Zetec either, too pricey, but i knew a bunch here were so figured to let you all know if interested. Violentblue does lettering, Motive does machining. As far as an SVT one, you would have to ask about that if yours does not work out.
S1Steve Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 To Pricey for a stock Zetec??? I paid $850 for a Zetec out of a wrecked Focus, and that was a complete running engine with 2800 miles on the clock.
Mandurath Posted December 9, 2007 Author Posted December 9, 2007 $850 would buy 2 good 2.3T Lima's. Hehe Or might just buy the complete donor vehicle in some cases. The Zetec is better, pretty much all modern stuff is, and in time, i may switch.
