Catie Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 I'm hoping for a bit of advice.....Can anyone identify what the driveshafts on the 2000 Caterham deDion are from? I'm hoping they are the same as the Merkur, since finding parts specifically for the Sierra is rather difficult in the US, but don't really know. I'd hate to purchase replacement pieces and find out they don't fit. Any and all help greatly appreciated!
stevet Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Catie, check with Caterham USA, or Nathan at Rocky Mountain Sportscars. I have the same year and model - the LSD is from the Sierra 4x4 I think, but the driveshafts I'm not sure about. Steve.
Al N. Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 From Ben at RMSCI, via Al Navarro... "On the drive shaft front: the drive shafts are specially made for Caterham. I do not know of a compatible replacement. If the guys is just trying to get one repaired I can get the parts and recommend a couple of shops who can do the work. Other than that he is going to be stuck buying a new one from a Caterham dealer."
