ottocycle Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Hello all, I am getting my reading list together and am interested in hearing from anybody who has any good books to sell. I want too fill gaps in my Automobile Quarterly collection. Also works by Miles Wilkins, Dennis Ortenburger (on Eleven, Elite and Costin), Staniforth's Race and Rally Car Sourcebook (latest edition), any GOOD marque specific books particularly on Lotus and Alfa Romeo and any good historical or technical reading. Also any good articles on vehicle dynamics and interesting lightweight cars/specials. I have wide tastes and if you liked it I may too. Let me know what you have. Thanks, Dermot. Hayabusa Fury
S1Steve Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Dermot, If you are looking for good reading, put LEGEND of the LOTUS SEVEN, and LOTUS SEVEN & THE INDEPENDENTS. Both by " Dennis Ortenburger ,on your list. I have both, and enjoy them. I will have to hang on to mine,as both were given as gifts from my Family. Enjoy, Steve Novelli
ottocycle Posted December 10, 2007 Author Posted December 10, 2007 Steve, i have read both and particularly enjoyed "The Legend of the Lotus Seven". In fact Dr.Stu Baumgard's Hamblin 7 is one of the prettiest I have ever seen. Thanks for the input. Any other recommendations? Dermot.
S1Steve Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Dermot, The BEST thing I read every month is MOTORSPORT, The original motor racing magazine, since 1924. Printed in the U.K., and sold at Barnes& Noble. Simply the best mag for us petrol heads. Steve  Oh Boy , Just got kicked up to Advanced, 1000 more and I'll get my Jedi wings, NICE
