MHKflyer52 Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Wild is not the word. If that truck ever stops in that sand I wounder how they would get it out as it would sink from the weight I would think.
Arya Ebrahimi Posted March 1, 2008 Author Posted March 1, 2008 They would use "sand ladders" Basically long sheets of metal(~18"x48" ) with ridges formed lengthwise to add stiffness and flared holes all over to add traction. They work really well. Land Rover guys use them for when they get stuck too
BusaLoco Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 "Aw gots tuh gets me 1 of those thar Ty Tane Eee Um V8's fur maw Chevy"! ... Yee Haw! PS Is that OK to use American (as above) or Brit's English (as below)? "Awright geeezzaa! I need one ov those V8 lumps fer me Catering Van! Sorted mate." :_deadhorse:
Mandurath Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 You have not lived until you have power slid an 80k lbs machine. Donuts in a semi is a unique experience.
solder_guy Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 If you see that thing in the rear view mirror .. get out of the way! Rob
slngsht Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 You have not lived until you have power slid an 80k lbs machine. Donuts in a semi is a unique experience. I would like to say I want a ride in that thing (while it's being driven like that), but I'm pretty sure that would actually scare the crap out of me.
