It was bound to happen ... Deer Encounter!

This morning while driving to work .. a deer got spooked, bound across the road and ran into the side of my newly painted Celica convertible .. It took out my driver side mirror and embedded some fur fuzz in my car handle. Some minor scratches in the paint too.

 

All said and done .. I feel fortunate that it caused so little damage! I will go to the pullapart junkyard tomorrow to get another mirror assembly.

In my Seven the result could have been catastrophic!

 

Other than the loss of my drivers side view mirror .. no other significant damage caused by the deer.

 

I bought a $7 replacement at pullapart.com

Deer are a very big problem around here.

I passed a deer in my Seven recently, right next to the road. It looked like a giraffe from where I sat. Fortunately, it froze.
