sporqster
This looked like a pretty good deal to me. He only wants $900 for it. http://evansville.craigslist.org/grd/774536135.html What do y'all think? think it could handle a sub 1400 pound car? powderbrake
I believe it willl handle a 1400 lb car, as it has a 5200#axle. That's only 700# per tire ( plus trailer weight, and this is not a light trailer) It depends a lot on what you are using to pull it. Since there was no mention of brakes, It may not have any, but with a 2 5/16 ball and being a former travel trailer, it might have had brakes. If your vehicle is large enough , you can tow with no trailer brakes, you just have to be more careful. I can't comment on the price. Have you checked with local trailer sellers for the price of a single axle flat trailer? Or on E-bay?
scannon
No mention of loading ramps and it looks high enough that you might need very long ramps to get the car over the breakover point. Make sure you test it with your car before buying. Those hubs look like the type that are also the brake drum. Ask if the brakes are inside and functional.
