The Maxton, it could have been an LSIS

The Maxton was a low volume sports car produced here in Denver. The second prototype (named Mille) was at The Tire Source today when I stopped by. Unfortunately, the Rollerskate production cars look more dune buggy than Se7en but Mille is definitely an LSIS and in fact was partially inspired by a ride Bob Sutherland took in a rotary powered Se7en.

Mille has a narrow, shark mouth shaped nosecone with cycle fenders. It has a handmade aluminum body which is unfinished as the car was a prototype. It would look great had the current owner finished up the seams and polished the whole car but I suspect he keeps it the way it is for historic purposes.

I didn't have my camera with me but will try to get someone at the shop to take some pictures which I will post later.

The car was in getting some work done before running the Colorado Grand later this month.

While most of the Rollerskates had 13B RX-7 engines, Mille has a supercharged I6 from a Nissan 280Z.

Skip,

There's a fellow that lives up Big Thompson Canyon at Viestenz-Smith Mountian Park that has a real nice example of a Maxton. He brings it out to the Loveland Friday Cruz Nites occasionally. I can't recall his name, but he's an employee of the City of Loveland. The car is blue with a 13B, single 45DCOE Weber induction. He's got all the weather gear and such as well. Looks very much like a Seven inspired chassis design, but with improved creature comforts. I was shocked at the roominess of the cockpit. Even more room than the SV Caterham. Footwell even has room for a dead pedal.
