DB6 Posted September 17, 2008 Share Posted September 17, 2008 Evidently its a common prob, they snap in the crimp next to the bajo coupling. Anyways I have a new cable. Thanks to Chris at Sevens and Elans in MA (Cat USA r on backorder) 1. in the pedal box lever there are 2 holes, whats the deal there? 2.where the outer sheath with the all thread and 2 lock nuts go to the slave, well is that one nut of either side if the lug that sticks out of the bell housing? 3.Can I do this on my own? 4. any tips here??? bsimon Posted September 18, 2008 Share Posted September 18, 2008 Second hole closest to the pivot is for the return spring. Both nuts are on the outside, locking the cable length adjustment. I keep a pre-adjusted spare cable in the boot for emergencies, although I've never had to use it. The skills involved are minimal. It can be done on the hard shoulder in a jam.
