It's all relative. A new Cat with a Duratec is about the same, if not more. I think one of the people involved with that business is an occasional commenter here. He does have his allegiances and preferences with regard to marque, that I'll say.

 

I did consider one of these when I bought Orange a few years back, but the thought of getting the car imported to the US was too daunting. Also, I happen to like narrow body cars, and the 'busa install they have cooked up requires an SV body...or at least it did.

When I see prices like that, I always think about what else I could get for similar money. In that price range there are lots of interesting options (not new):

Radical SR3

Lotus Elise or Exige (and eventually the 211)

Porsche 996 GT3 or 993 TT

Corvette ZO6

Noble M400

BMW M5

 

I could go on...so I guess it depends on where your preferences lie. Personally, I would go for one of the cars in my list before this eBay car, but that's just me
