As a retired unicycle rider, I think it's very innovative. However, it isn't the first powered uni. When light weight weed-eaters first appeared, some guys tried those little 2 stroke engines on their unicycles. After many busted a$$es, some of the guys were actually able to ride, altho never very well. When I was first learning, a fellow rider challenged me to a race. The guy was very smart in some areas like math and calculus but kind of slow in other areas. What we now call geeks. Anyway, as we started down a hill at our top speed of about 5 mph, this guy says "watch this, I'm going to coast". What followed was the worst unicycle crash I have ever seen. As soon as his feet left the pedals, his levi hip pockets started eroding away as he slid down the hill. Jimmydz, Naples Fl. First unicycle ride-1959, last-1995.
