jlumba81
Its been bugging me for a while as to what the caterham option aero filler cap looks like. Does anyone have one or a pic of one? I've looked at the caterham uk site and didn't see it on their online store.

athens7
Amazing! I have 244 pictures relating to my car, and not a single one includes the aero cap. I'll shoot one and post. Edited May 9, 2009 by athens7 added photo

jlumba81
That's pretty neat looking. Might end up on my options list. But I guess I should ask what does the normal filler cap look like. So to unlatch that aero cap you just flip it up and unscrew it?
Sean
You flip it up and turn the flip-up part about 10°, and the whole thing just pulls straight out. There is a key hole under the flip-up part to lock it if you wish. The real appeal of this unit over the standard item, IMO, is that with the standard one you can only open it with the key, whereas with this one you can use it without the key (provided you didn't lock it in the first place). edit -- This is not a thread that I would categorize as "off topic". slomove
Just remember these flush caps are pretty generic items. You can get it from Caterham (I believe with some printed logo) or much cheaper about anywhere......Even in the US. On the other hand, if you buy a new roller you may want to pay the few bucks extra to have it already in place. jlumba81
I wasn't sure which section would be a good place. Maybe the moderator could move it to the appropriate one.
