WARREN, OH — Police say an apparent thief was found dead inside an electric power substation after trying to use a hacksaw on copper wiring and causing power surges or outages to thousands of homes in northeast Ohio.

Trumbull County Sheriff's Major Thomas Stewart says the male was found electrocuted early Monday and is about 20 years old. Stewart says the apparent motive was copper theft.

Investigators haven't determined how entry was made into the Ohio Edison substation or whether there was an accomplice. The site is surrounded by barbed wire and has warning signs.

FirstEnergy spokesman Mark Durbin says approximately 2,000 homes lost power about 1:30 a.m. and power was restored about six hours later. http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/src:forums.corvetteforum.com/get/images/smilies/rolleyes5.gif

Yes, a well deserved cleansing of the gene pool.

Next are the lawsuits.
