For my sell telephone to work at home, I need to put my L foot in the toilet and hold onto a light fixture. They added a cell tower about 1 mile away, still no help.

Gary you may have to update tour carrier settings on the phone so it becomes aware of the new tower

I looked through settings, what am I looking for?

No idea. I just know with ATT and Sprint you have to do that once in a while. With a tower within a mile of your house, you should have very good signal strength.*It should be a key combo, probably have to call verizon

Verizon is *228

Thanks, I did *228 and it reprogramed. I don't see any difference in Signal strength, indicated on the phone. I will try to make a few calls tomorrrod.
