MHKflyer52 Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 The Miata engine is a very easy fit in the Westfield as Flyn' Miata is the main distributor vendor for them in the USA if I am not mistaken...here is the link to their site http://www.flyinmiata.com/westfield/ Keith Tanner has a book out on building a CMC chassis 7 Replica with a Miata engine that is the same size as a standard Caterham I do believe. I actually have a Miata and my scratch built 7 which is the same size as a series II and the Miata engine looks like it would fit without much effort but with the addition of a turbo it might be very tight. Just my thoughts and I must say that Skip has a very nice and well engineered setup with his car using a Miata power train.
Mondo Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Not to keep the hijacking going but Skip's 7 is one of the finest examples out there... probably my favorite all purpose 7.
