I had a blast. Didn't race at all last year, and finally have the MegaSquirt really working for me. Now on a set of vintage Corolla steelies widened to 13x7, and some used Hoosier slicks. The course was stupid tight, and I was pretty rusty but I had a lot of fun. Love the flick-and-catch steering action. Hahahahhahahahahahahaaah!

A 49.795 clean run on that course is just outstanding....way to get it.

I gotta get me some softer compound tires for my car.....currently running tires that have a tread wear of 580 so it is like driving on marbles all the time.

If I remember correctly, you have ITB's right? Any tuning advice? Trying to find good ITB setup info for megasquirt is driving me nuts. Are you using speed density, alpha N, or a blended map? The acceleration enrichment settings are giving me a hard time, would it be possible to do a screen capture of your enrichment settings?

 

You have a great setup, autocross looks fun. Thanks for the videos!

I'm running pure AN. I gave up on SD - don't waste your time. I was stubborn and thought I could do it. Screw it. Run pure AN.

 

I'll have to dig up my AE settings. When you're tweaking AE, watch the TPSdot along the bottom, and try to blip the throttle to a consistent set point. Watch what the AFR ends up with, and richen or lean it as needed. Then move on to the next set point and do the same.

 

I also datalogged and watched where the AFR's went as I moved the throttle. I'd make a note as I went through the datalog of points that went rich or (usually) lean, and tweak the AE settings. Seeing what my foot was actually doing (tpsdot) helped me set ~where~ to set AE, and watching the AFR change helped me set ~how~much~ it should be.

 

Does this make sense??

Oh, I also just picked up an Edelbrock "Uni-Syn" (#4025) to help synchronize the ITB's. You could probably pick one up super cheap at a local British car specialty shop - many cars taken in on trade have one in the boot.
