twnpipe Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 I think we had more fun per $ but it was great for the owner of the Mercedes to come out with his new car. Nice owner, gorgeous car. Sorry didn't get any times. It was a slow speed course put on in Lompoc by the Corvette club.
MoPho Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 I drove one a few months ago, a really nice car, but there are a lot of better options out there. Obviously it is not particularly exciting compared to the 7, all that luxury and weight dumbs down the experience (and is the case with pretty much all exotics these days), but this one is more GT than sports car. Doors are really hard to close when you are in the car if you are not 6+ feet tall
Kitcat Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 For $200K, I have a long list of cars I would chose before this one:).
athens7 Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 FWIW, the 1st year's production is sold out, and the cars are selling for $30-60K above MSRP. Of course, as a small Mercedes-Benz dealer, I will be able to tell you when the market has cooled off-that's when I'll be able to get one!
jimrankin Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 The AMG is pretty cool but your 7 and the car off to the right of the AMG probably get 50 times more interest.
