BMW RACER Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/caterham-roadsport-125-monaco-revealed?ref=nf I think it's better than the Lambretta (although I love the Quadraphenia video) I like the aluminum (of course) No spare, are they using runflats? It's parked with the right front wheel against a wall. Are they saving weight (cost) on the handbrake too?
KiwiBirkin Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Not too fussed on that inception of the seven I prefer the Lambretta version. You dont need a spare on a seven all you need is a can of tyre weld so you then save about 15kg in weight, I havnt run a spare on the rear for about 10000 miles now.
slomove Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 No spare either for over 30k miles. But I did have a flat (actually lost pressure due to underinflation) a few years ago and the car rolled fine without, if a bit slow. Just too light to squish a normal car tire.
BMW RACER Posted September 11, 2010 Author Posted September 11, 2010 I'm a member of the "no spare club" too. haven't had a flat yet. Interesting to hear your experiences.
slomove Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 ...... you need is a can of tyre weld ..... To be politically correct, it is "tire weld" :jester: But what do I know.... I am German.
