MHKflyer52 Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Just figured I would do a frame layout in SolidWorks for the fun of it as today is one of those days that are just slow.
powderbrake Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Well obviously, you are not slow on the CAD system. Very Cool.
danilo Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Interesting drawing indeed, noticed that you have made the front susp mount tubes parallel. Which is very efficient for wishbone mounting But doesn't that alter the entire appearance of the front section, as the taper angle of the ali paneled bits meets the nose cone in a no longer continuous line ? Can the drawing be a bit larger? Sadly my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be :-)

As for the side pannels fitting to the front, if you shape the aluminum to the tubing and round the lower edge of the skin pannel it will look nice and smooth as you can see in the attached photo. Just takes sometime to shape the aluminum to be rounded instead of squared off.
