scannon
The current show is about fan appreciation day. The lead in story is about a fellow whose father bought and raced a Lotus 7 some 40 years ago. The father sold it after a year. Forty years later the son of the current owner found the car on the internet and they eventually bought and restored it. The proof of the family connection came in a 9 page letter written by the original owner to the next purchaser detailing all the races he had won with the car. The car passed through six owners and the letter went along with it each time. The show is on Speed and I think there are two more repeats in the near future if you are interested. Sean
Thanks for the notice, Skip. I saw this one too - which was odd, because I don't normally watch the show. I also saw a brief shot of a 7 on Speed's coverage of the 2011 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion coverage a day or three ago, but that shot only lasted for a second or so. The 2GG segment was pretty cool, and was the most video coverage of a 7 that I have ever seen by a U.S.-based channel.
scannon
A friend saw part of the coverage but couldn't remember the name of the show, just that it was a car show on Speed about fan appreciation. I went looking for it and managed to find several upcoming repeats and recorded it. I doubt I will become a regular viewer of the 2CG show, the over eager personalities of the presenters doesn't sit well with me.
Hank
I get what you mean with the over eager personalities. I picture when the cameras are turned off they jump into a Miata and drive off into the sunset. My favorite to watch how crazy he could get was Buzz on Truck Universe, now Truck U. He was so damn excited to put a set of brake pads! They canned him and put a race car driver, Bruno on there now. Thank god for triple fast forward on all of these shows!
