1oldman1
Hello all: I am brand new to 7's. (Current ride is a Chrys. T&C) I found a possible 7 to buy. I haven't seen it yet, transaction probably won't happen to Spring. All I know is that it "has been in a garage for a bunch of years". What are questions to ask?... Things to look for, etc? Thanks for your consideration, Jaime

powderbrake
Welcome to the usa7s forum Jamie. It would be useful for you to post your location, then someone near to you can invite you to see their seven, and to discuss the things to look for. Think about why you want a Seven. Is it for competition, track or autocross? Is it for blatting ( touring) around the local area? Is it for long distance, ie do you need weather protection? Do you enjoy working on cars, and have the tools and talents to work on the little things that will pop up on a seven? Do you have to have a Lotus, or a Caterham, or will a replica brand suffice? Take your time, look at as many different sevens as you can, and get a ride in as many different types a you can. It's not difficult, most Seven owners love to show off their cars. Good luck, keep posting.
James A
If you have the time, go inspect the car and find someone from the forum locally to go with you. Is it a runner? What shape is the engine and trans in? Chassis damage that has been repaired?
